Let the Baking Begin!
The Baking Contest will be held at the Stillman Valley Fall Festival again this year.
The contest will have two divisions, Youth (all high school age and younger) and Adult (all adults – male and female). Everyone can participate in this exciting event – grandma’s, mothers, daughters, dads and sons.

The categories for adult and youth are: Cookies (bar, drop, fancy), Candy (fudge, other), Muffins/Cupcakes, Quick Breads, Yeast Breads, Pies (one crust, two crust), and Cakes (plain, decorated) and all Coffee Cakes. Cash prizes are offered in each division and a $10.00 grand prize will be awarded in both Youth and Adult divisions.

Participants are asked to bring their products, no more than one per category, to the Junior High between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Judging will begin at 10 a.m. and the exhibit will be open following the judging until 4 p.m. Exhibits may be removed from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

No items that need to be refrigerated will be judged. Judging is based on appearance, color, texture, and flavor. Creativity and presentation points will also add to your score. Cookies, candy, muffins, biscuits, etc., should be displayed with threeitems per plate. Pies, cakes,and breads are to be entered as a whole item as overall appearance is included in the judging. All plates, pans, table settings, etc., should be labeled on the bottom with the entrant’s name. An entry form is to be completed for each exhibit (available at registration).
